Whoever said, "Blondes have more fun", and "Curves don't belong on the Catwalk" were sorely mistaken. The truth is, there is a rather sharp curve in the path ahead for fashion, so to speak.I am so done with these overused stereotypes that have plagued the media and us poor overly expectant women, and I'm sure I am not the only one.At 30, I have learnt to love my curves, men however, have loved curves since the dawn of time, think Cleopatra, Aphrodite & the women brought to life in the famous works of Botticelli and Picasso.Rather recently there has been a new spate of curvature with the wonderful ADELE bringing forth "Curves are Beautiful", retrospective beauty and style colliding to make rather a grand impression.Plus sized models are turning the tables and bringing back great female body image, and along with it a fantastic new market for gorgeous new lines for the more curve gifted female. This timing is perfect.Never before have women needed curvy role models and a better body image, what better time than spring (the most fertile season of them all), spring represents new growth, beauty, abundance & happiness and with this happiness a fantastic new wardrobe in the warmest, brightest & sunniest colours, of course!Flicking through the wracks of plus sized clothing in my local area saddens me some, I see black, grey, and unflattering colour combinations and shapes that start to make my blood boil and my mouth start moving, no words coming out, no words can express the irritation I am feeling. However, I am going to admit to a rather large sin here, but I am a great fan of on-line shopping, and in particular ASOS.ASOS is my saviour.ASOS Curve is a pioneer in fantastic, sexy & sophisticated plus size fashion. With a fun & flirty edge.Bright colours, snazzy up-to- the- minute shapes & luxe fabrics all play their part in this amazing line, my favourite being the ASOS CURVE Contrast Fit And Flare Dress, which features a beautiful mustard fabric with a scoop neck-line, a contrast trim, a fitted body with three quarter sleeves and a fitted waist. Not to forget a pleated (very now), flared skirt with a full hem and twin stripes to the edge. What more could you ask of a plus sized label?? And all of this comes to you with free postage!!! Making this online label Deliciously attainable.Luckily, we are not abandoned when it comes to great in-store plus size clothing, despite my earlier ranting on my local area shortages.David Jones, Myer & Target, all produce their own plus size clothing line.Along with the infamous Maggie T, Basque Women, Taking Shape, Embody Denim & Free People.Luxe, silken, wonderfully light fabrics, in the most alluring prints, from bold floral graphics to watercolour inspired peacock feathered prints, cape dresses, 70's inspired tailoring including bell sleeves, flared denim, & wonderfully bright eye popping colour combinations.Blossoming with radiance and pride.Spring is homing in on curves! My advice for spring, turn the other bare shoulder on curve snobs and wear a gorgeous Spring- Proud plus sized outfit today!
